Lone Star College–Kingwood Financial Aid
Lone Star College System continues to seek new ways to help families and students manage the costs of education. Each year, federal, state and endowment funds are allocated to Lone Star College System for awards to eligible students. In some cases, gifts and grants from corporations and foundations provide assistance. Whatever the source, Lone Star College System is committed to helping you find the assistance you need to Make it Happen!
The purpose of financial aid is to remove financial barriers that prevent you from achieving your educational goals. Lone Star College System participates in numerous programs that provide financial aid.
Priority is given to your financial aid application if you complete the process prior to April 1. After the priority date, financial awards are made as long as funds are available. Funds are usually awarded for the following fall and spring semesters.
Contact the college financial aid office well in advance of registering for classes. A personal visit with the financial aid office at the college you plan to attend is required for new students and recommended for returning students.
