There are three options that a student can choose from to meet this requirement. | New Student Information Session (dates listed in the Counseling & Advising Office SFA 116) | | | Online orientation for new students: http://newstudent.nhmccd.edu/ | | Video option (Advising Office SFA 116) | | | | Follow these steps to start credit courses at Lone Star College System | | Select the letter (A - E) that describes you: | | (A) | I've never attended any college: | | | 1. | Complete and return admissions application. The admissions application is also available online. | | | 2. | See financial aid office for grants, scholarships or loans. | | | 3. | Bring all test scores or make arrangements to take tests if required. | | | 4. | Attend new student information session (see options above). | | (B) | I've attended a different college: | | | | Follow steps 1 through 3 above | | | | Bring copies of transcripts or grade reports of previous college work. All official transcripts must be in before the semester is completed. | | (C) | I attended Lone Star College System before last semester, but no other college: | | | | Follow steps 1 through 3 above. | | (D) | I haven't finished high school: | | | | GED - Follow steps 1 through 4 above | | | | Did not graduate; not attending high school (contact admissions office concerning individual approval and information on obtaining the GED). | | | | Still attending high school - see college admissions office for exceptional admission information. | | (E) | Courses I took in high school may be equivalent to college courses: | | | | If this is the case, consult with a college advisor (to make an appointment call 281.312.1604). | |
