Day Program

Lone Star College-Kingwood Cosmetology Day Program

The faculty of the Cosmetology Program is committed to the stated purpose and philosophy of the College. In keeping with this philosophy, the faculty is dedicated to the preparation of men and women to qualify as valuable members to serve the public in the field of cosmetology.

We believe that cosmetology education in the Community college setting is economically feasible for the student.

We believe that cosmetology education has identifiable, cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills.

We believe that the faculty has the responsibility to plan, implement and evaluate the teaching-learning process and to provide those experiences to ensure safe operator practice. The individual student accepts the responsibility for learning as the faculty serves as only facilitatory in this learning process.

The graduate cosmetology operator assumes responsibility for continued personal and career growth to further develop knowledge and skills through continuing education to meet employment skills and to ensure success in the field of cosmetology.
