Dental Assisting

This program prepares students to function competently and safely as a chair side dental assistant. This module focuses on office procedures, communication skills, basic dental anatomy and instrumentation, preparation of examination and treatment areas, operation and maintenance of clinical equipment, infection control, safety issues, and dental radiography procedures. Forty-eight (48) of the 176 hours will be scheduled in a dentist's office for clinical training. Proof of vaccinations required. Books and uniforms not included in tuition. CPR recommended.
