Roland DeSoigne, professor of Biology, has published numerous articles in several scientific journals. His main interests are the study and teaching of Anatomy and Physiology.

Karen Gee is an expert in the novel, poetry, the nineteenth century, and the medieval period. Her research focuses on the first mystery novelist in English, Wilkie Collins, the Bayeux tapestry, and women hymn writers. She is also interested in linguistics, and has a life-long interest in the biological sciences and anthropology.

Mary Johnson moved to the U.S. from The Netherlands in 1986 and lived in Louisiana prior to moving to Houston in 1990. In 1998, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Houston with a Bachelor in Psychology. She graduated in 2000 with a Master's of Science in Occupational Technology, specializing in Training and Development. She is currently the Chair of the Computer Information Technology Department at Lone Star College-Kingwood and teaches spreadsheets, databases and Intro to Computers.

Betsy Morgan has interests in animal behavior, specifically endangered species, genetics, and evolutionary history. She specialized in wildlife fisheries sciences during graduate work at Texas A&M.

Joan Samuelson specializes in Composition, Medieval and Renaissance literature, the nineteenth-century British Novel, Film and Literature, and the literature of the Holocaust.

Jim Skelton has been a newspaper reporter, a technical writer, and a full-time freelance writer. His dissertation was on absurd humor novels of the 1960s. Jim also has a special interest in the fiction of Ernest Hemingway. He specializes in composition and rhetoric.

Stacy Walker served as Program Manager for the 13 county Region 6 Prevention Resource Center where she managed a chemical dependency prevention program before joining the Kingwood faculty in 2002. Included in her fields of experience are chemical dependency, child development, school violence prevention, and mental retardation.
