Uniforms

Uniforms are required for the cosmetology course, and are part of the professionalism grade. The cosmetology uniform includes smock, shirt, pants, and shoes. Students will purchase uniform shirts, pants, and independently, according to the examples pictured in the uniform packet. Smocks will be ordered at orientation and purchased the first week of class (along with the Cosmetology Kit). Students are responsible for purchasing a nametag as part of the dress code. Nametags must be available by the first week of school.

The student will be required to wear socks or hose.

Hairstyles will be conservative and professional
(No “fad” styles, party colors or “show type” styles).

Hats or caps are not allowed on lab floor.

Jewelry should be limited to avoid interference with skill performance and to avoid creating annoyance to the patron. No facial jewelry is allowed except earrings
worn in the ears.

Tattoos are to be kept covered at all times.
